Palm Beach tennis ace and entrepreneur Venus Williams is offering noon workouts with celebrity guests every weekday to keep her fans near and far, trim and toned. Elena Camps, Art Director for Williams' athletic wear brand EleVen, is currently working (and working out) from her West Palm Beach condo while art directing Venus' new collection that is sure to keep us in shape at home, on the streets and on the courts (when they re-open again!). Camps shares with BPB her thoughts on staying FIT, while staying IN.
Q: What is your corona-tine exercise routine.
A: In normal times, you can find me at the gym almost every weekday. Since our new norm, I have been running from West Palm to the island of Palm Beach, clocking a few miles a day. I will also tune into Venus' workout, as no one knows how to keep a body in top shape like her. And from time to time I will roll out my yoga mat and do some stretching.
Q: How are you keeping yourself from getting cabin fever.
A: Thankfully we live in a tropical paradise and the weather has been mild. I am going beyond the 6 feet social distancing if I'm outside and trying to be extremely careful. At EleVen we are extremely busy working on new and exciting projects, so there is little time for my mind to wander. When I have some downtime, I am tuning into Netflix.
Q: Current Netflix binges?
A: Money Heist, The Tiger King and How to Get Away with Murder.
Q: Any quick meal fixes during this time?
A: Oven-broiled salmon and sautéed kale is my go-to. I seriously eat it at least 3 times a week.
Q: Give us a teaser on what we can expect in the summer with EleVen?
A: We have a lot of exciting new projects and products coming out, but I am sworn to secrecy at the moment. We are still shipping products all over the US with free shipping! Follow us on instagram @EleVenbyVenus to stay up to date on all the coming developments ... and to keep that body in shape!
